In addition to the death threats against minority Deputy of SYRIZA Hüseyin Zeybek on a live broadcast, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded that the issue be investigated in a statement it issued.

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry by using the words "We do not accept advice from third countries".

"Turkey, once again, is trying to involve itself in the internal affairs of another state, in violation of the fundamental rules of international behavior," the foreign ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"Greece is a state governed by the rule of law, respects International Law and fully implements its international obligations as arising from international conventions, such as the Treaty of Lausanne - unlike Turkey," it added.

"We do not accept advice from third countries, such as Turkey, let alone when this concerns Greek citizens," the announcement of the foreign ministry added.
