Fires in Greece under control but flaring up again
Although the fires in Alexandroupoli and Evros in Greece are largely under control on the 12th day, flames are rising again in the region. The Civil Protection Organisation asked village residents to move away from the area. Teams from various countries are supporting Greece to extinguish the fires in the region.
Upon the re-intensification of the fire in the forest area in Demirören (Sidiro) and Yanören (Yannuli) villages, the Civil Protection Organisation asked the residents of the villages to move away from the area.
