Ergin Ataman issues farewell message to Greece
Turkish basketball coach Ergin Ataman has issued a farewell message following his departure from Panathinaikos, thanking supporters and the Greek public for their support during his three-year tenure in Greece.
In a message shared on social media, Ataman expressed gratitude not only to Panathinaikos fans but also to people across Greece, saying he had collected unforgettable memories during his time in the country.
The veteran coach also highlighted the importance of friendship between the peoples of Türkiye and Greece, stating that contributing to mutual understanding between the two nations was among his proudest achievements alongside sporting success.
Ataman joined Panathinaikos in 2023 and guided the club to multiple domestic and European titles during his tenure, including a EuroLeague championship.
