EANA General Assembly held in Athens
The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), of which Anadolu Agency (AA) is a member, held its General Assembly in Athens.
Hosted by the Hellenic News Agency (AMNA), EANA’s events began yesterday with the autumn conference titled “Managing News Agencies in Difficult Times” and concluded today with the General Assembly.
AA was represented by Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Özhan, along with Strategic Communications and Foreign Relations Chief Advisor Eren Erciyas.
During the assembly, Stefano de Alessandri, Director General of Italy’s ANSA, was elected as EANA President for the current term. Emilios Perdikaris, Chairman and Director General of AMNA, was elected to the EANA Board of Directors.
In addition, the Latvian News Agency (LETA) was unanimously accepted as a new member of EANA.
