Dust continues across Greece; gradual easing expected from Saturday night
Dust continues to drift across Greece, covering the entire country, according to AtmoHub, the information hub for air quality in Greece.
The phenomenon is of moderate intensity and is accompanied by cloud cover, limiting sunshine and creating a gloomy landscape.
According to AtmoHub, air quality remains poor throughout the country, with levels approaching legal limits and, in some areas, marginally exceeding them.
On Friday, rain showers are expected mainly in the southern part of the country, specifically the Peloponnese, Crete, the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, and sporadically in Macedonia.
Starting Saturday night, a gradual easing of the dust episode is expected. Until then, the areas expected to be most affected are Crete, the Dodecanese, the Cyclades, the Ionian Islands, Epirus, and Macedonia.
