Driving licence: what changes in the exams

As announced by the region of Attica, the changes to the driving test rooms were made in order to ensure transparency and legality of the procedures.

This first is also mentioned in the relevant circular of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christina Alexopoulou, which asks the regions of the country (except Attica, which has been implemented) and the competent transport directorates to proceed with the supply and installation of appropriate technical means to ensure the immutability of the driving test.

The technical means already installed by the Region of Attica include:
A portable device (Spectrograph) for the detection of mobile phones or any other frequency transmission device aimed at tampering with the procedure.
A central screen displaying the instructions and regulations for the theoretical examinations in 4 languages (Greek, English, Albanian and Russian).
A camera that takes a photograph of the examinee which is encrypted and stored on a laptop computer. This material, upon request of the prosecution by the control authorities, is available in case of a regular or extraordinary control.
In any case, all necessary measures have been taken to safeguard the personal data of the participants and are fully compliant with GDPR based on an impact study. The technical equipment has been installed in all six Theoretical Examination Rooms operating in Attica at the respective addresses of the region. More specifically, the technical equipment has been installed in the halls operating in the Central Sector, Piraeus, East Attica, Maroussi, Alimos and Elefsina.
