The Panhellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) has declared a 24-hour strike on May 1 for all the categories of vessels, as part of the events marking International Workers’ Day (May Day).

The Panhellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) has declared a 24-hour strike on May 1 for all the categories of vessels, as part of the events marking International Workers’ Day (May Day).

The strike will begin at 00:01 on Friday and will end at 24:00 on the same day, affecting all ferry services and other maritime routes.

In an announcement, PNO noted that its core demands remain the protection of human life at sea, ensuring decent working conditions, and strengthening the institution of collective bargaining, with a focus on renewing and signing Collective Labor Agreements.
