"All of Greece a Palestinian Flag" – Nationwide demonstrations planned for August 10
Nationwide mobilizations are set to take place across Greece on Sunday, August 10, in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people and to demand an end to the ongoing military operations in Gaza.
Organizers are calling for mass participation in cities, islands, and tourist destinations throughout the country, under the slogan:
"Stop the Genocide – No to Greece-Israel Cooperation – Not in Our Name."
According to efsyn.gr the initiative, led by the March to Gaza campaign, is gaining significant momentum. From the Dodecanese to Northern Greece, and from the Peloponnese to the islands of the North Aegean, rallies and protests are being prepared as citizens plan to take to the streets in support of Palestine.
The movement denounces what it describes as a genocide committed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and calls on the Greek government to disengage from any involvement in military operations or cooperation with Israel.
According to the organizers, the call for action is being widely embraced at a time when, in their words, “Israel is preparing for a ‘final solution’ against the Palestinian people.”
Events are expected to be held in dozens of locations across Greece, as activists aim to turn public spaces into platforms of protest and solidarity.
