ADEDY: 24-hour strike on March 21 for social workers

The Civil Servants Federation (ADEDY), at the request of the Association of Social Workers of Greece, is declaring a 24-hour nationwide strike on Friday, 21 March, for social workers in all public sector services.
According to a relevant statement, ADEDY has declared a strike in order to commemorate the World Social Work Day, which has been established as a day of action to promote the work of social workers and social work. On the day of the strike, a rally will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Social Cohesion & Family Affairs.
Healthcare staff and nurses on 24-hour strike and work stoppage in Athens on Wednesday
Healthcare staff and nurses in public hospitals are on a 24-hour strike in the region and a work stoppage from 8.00 to 15.00 in Athens on Wednesday, according to a decision taken by the Panhellenic Federation of Employees in Public Hospitals (POEDIN).
They will hold a rally at 8.30am at Mavili Square and a rally to the Ministries of Finance and Health.
"The public health system is at the limits of its capacity due to serious staff shortages," the Federation said, noting that in the emergency rooms of hospitals on call "there is chaos".
