2022 tax returns begin

The period for filing annual income tax returns on earnings from last year begins. The related tax declaration digital platform is expected to be opened in the coming days.
According to the information obtained by the Independent Public Revenue Agency (AADE), commercial income, agricultural income, self-employment income, wage income, real estate capital income (rental income), securities capital income, and other earnings and revenues obtained by real persons in 2022 Annual income tax returns begin for capital gains and incidental gains.
As of this year, 8.9 million taxpayers across Greece are required to file tax returns. With the opening of the electronic platform with the instruction of AADE, the declarations will start. Details and relevant decisions on filling out new tax forms (E1, E2, E3) will be announced during the declaration.
