Political organisation named DAVA established in Germany under the leadership of Turks
In the written statement made by DAVA, it was stated that they started their political journey with their list covering the whole of Germany for the 2024 European Parliament elections and on this occasion, they created the first milestone with the aim of becoming a political actor.
In the statement, it was noted that the formation, chaired by journalist Teyfik Özcan, includes names such as Fatih Zingal, one of Germany's well-known lawyers, Dr. Ali İhsan Ünlü, holder of the German Federal Order of Merit, and Dr. Mustafa Yoldaş.
The alliance's goal is to position itself as a new political centre for many citizens who are not represented by the existing parties, the statement said: "Our mission is to be the strong voice of the politically unrepresented, who to date have remained largely rejected in decisions. DAVA will fill this political void and is committed to political inclusion. With a clear commitment to diversity and tolerance, we firmly position ourselves against nationalism, xenophobia, anti-Muslim racism and antisemitism."
