Applications for heating subsidies to open on Monday, Nov. 10
Applications for the heating subsidy will open on Monday, November 10, according to a joint ministerial decision announced on Tuesday.
The subsidy is provided to individual homes for heating oil, lighting oil, natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, firewood, and biomass or thermal energy through remote heating or electric energy.
Applicants have to fulfil certain criteria, including those of income, assets, and location/weather criteria. Subsidies range from 100 euros minimum to 800 euros maximum, but raised to 1,200 euros in villages with higher energy needs.
Applications will be made through the myaade.gov.gr platform.
The decision for the subsidy was signed by the ministers of National Economy & Finance and of Environment & Energy and the corresponding deputy ministers, following a proposal by the governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
