Europe’s leading tourism group, TUI, has announced plans to extend the holiday season in Türkiye and Greece into October and November, aiming to attract travelers beyond the traditional summer months.

TUI CEO Sebastian Ebel said favorable climate conditions and strong international demand support the move. “During this period, the weather in Greece and Antalya will likely be excellent. We are in constant communication with hotels and see ourselves as an inspiration for this effort,” Ebel noted.

The company is in advanced talks with local hoteliers and businesses to keep facilities open later in the year. The strategy highlights affordable prices, smaller crowds, and pleasant weather as key attractions for autumn visitors.

According to TUI’s data, the U.K. market is already 89% booked for the summer of 2025, while overall sales across the group have reached 90%, including October.

The travel giant also sees potential in the city break market, which remains largely untapped for the October-November period.

With climate change extending warm-weather conditions across the Mediterranean, TUI aims to establish Türkiye and Greece as year-round destinations, reducing dependence on peak summer tourism.
