SKY express launches new direct Athens–Hamburg route

SKY express has launched a new direct route connecting Athens and Hamburg, operating three times a week—on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays—as part of its ongoing expansion into international markets.

Hamburg becomes the airline’s fifth destination in Germany, following Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin. The company said the addition strengthens its presence in a strategically important market for Greek tourism and the wider economy.

The route is served by Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, known for reduced fuel consumption and lower noise emissions. SKY express now operates 29 aircraft, maintaining the youngest fleet among Greek carriers. With Hamburg added to its schedule, the airline serves 27 international destinations year-round.

Recent network expansions include new direct flights to Lisbon, Madrid, Berlin and Tel Aviv, with Lyon set to join by the end of the year.
