Digital logistics: A guide for businesses

Digital inventory movement has now become a mandatory process for businesses, transforming the way documents are issued, transmitted, and recorded. In practice, it entails the electronic recording of every product movement-from dispatch to receipt-in real time, with the aim of enhancing transparency, speed, and compliance with the new tax framework.

As highlighted by the Panhellenic Association of Accountants and Economists (PAELO), along with Samsung and i-Spirit, on the occasion of a related event, this transition is no longer optional but a necessity for the entire market, requiring coordination among businesses, accountants, and the state.

In practical terms, digital inventory movement involves:

-Real-time recording of all product movements

-Electronic issuance and transmission of documentation

-Immediate updates to all parties involved (issuer, recipient, carrier)

-Reduction of errors and improved supply chain control

-Compliance with new tax requirements

This transition affects every link in the supply chain, as speed and accuracy in data recording have become essential prerequisites for the smooth operation of businesses.

Technology supporting this transition includes, among others:

-Confirmation of deliveries via mobile devices

-Scanning and recording of movements at the time they occur

-Real-time shipment and distribution management

-Electronic invoicing at the point of service

-Ability to accept card payments via mobile devices

Within this context, the i-Spirit D.I.P in One (Delivery Invoice Payment) application is also presented, bringing together all the above functionalities within a single integrated environment and significantly simplifying day-to-day business operations. In this way, information is captured at the moment it is generated, offering enhanced control, transparency, and security in the modern tax environment.

The role of accountants:

-Acting as advisors for business adaptation

-Ensuring proper implementation of procedures

-Supporting compliance with the new digital framework

-Contributing to a smooth transition to Phase II of digital inventory movement

The goal of this initiative, according to the organizers, is to establish a common operational framework among businesses, accountants, and the state, in order to strike a balance between efficient commercial management and the reduction of tax evasion.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 17:30, at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), with free admission upon registration via the platform:  https://invoicesoft.zohobackstage.eu
