Christmas bonus to employees to be paid early
The Christmas bonus to employees will be paid earlier this year, as the scheduled date, December 21, falls on a Sunday. Employers must complete the payment before Sunday to avoid being late.
All employees with a dependent employment relationship are entitled to the bonus, equal to one monthly salary for salaried workers and 25 daily wages for those paid daily. The calculation is based on earnings as of December 10, or the day of contract termination for those whose employment ended earlier.
The reference period for the gift is from May 1 to December 31. Employees who worked continuously during this period receive the full amount, while those employed for a shorter time receive a proportional payment of two days’ wages for every 19 days worked.
