Working pensioners platform to go online on Monday, Labour Minister Michailidou announces
The electronic platform for working pensioners is to go online from Monday, Labour and Social Security Minister Domna Michailidou announced on a SKAI television programme on Sunday.
She explained that pensioners in work can declare their employment on this platform and receive all of their pension.
"We estimate that 100,000 pensioners work. Of these, 36,000 declare it. We have to help these people, they have paid for their pension," Michailidou said.
She also referred to some 19 government actions to support families, the hiring of additional doctors and other measures for disability certification centres, and the upcoming increase in the minimum wage, which she said would exceed 800 euros a month. Noting that this was the fourth successive increase in the basic wage, she said that the "wager is to have good salaries".
