Miracle Theatre opens with a standing ovation in Xanthi

WTMUGA’s Miracle Theatre captivated the audience with its performance of Fehim Pasha Mansion at the Xanthi Indoor Amphitheatre.
The Miracle Theatre, operating under the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association (WTMUGA), marked a spectacular opening on the evening of Friday, April 4, with its production of Fehim Pasha Mansion at the Xanthi Indoor Amphitheatre. The play, a classic by renowned Turkish playwright Turgut Özakman, was adapted and directed by Senemahu Topuz and received thunderous applause from the audience.
A NIGHT OF CULTURE AND COMMUNITY
The evening began with opening remarks by WTMUGA President Hüseyin Baltacı, followed by a greeting speech from director Senemahu Topuz. The performance drew significant attention and attendance from key community figures, including the Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, and his wife İlayda Ünal, as well as the Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa. Several leaders of minority institutions and organizations were also present.
WTMUGA President Baltacı expressed his deep gratitude to Senemahu Topuz, the technical team, performers, and their families for their dedication and effort in bringing the production to life. Consul General Ünal also congratulated everyone involved in the play for their hard work and success.
YOUNG TALENT TAKES THE STAGE
The cast featured high school students Zeynep Betül Ergen, Rasiye Şabanoğlu, Hüseyin Hacıibram, Arda Bozoğlu, Dilara Kayra Hatip, Ayça Peçenik, Aksu Veli, Berrak Delioğlu, Nisa Feratoğlu, Zeynep Cambaz, Liva Muhtar Küçük, Yaren Küllü, Beyza Dedeoğlu, Sarp Saitoğlu, Mehmet Baltacı, and Semih Onbaşı. Sude Delioğlu served as the play’s prompter.

At the end of the evening, all participating cast members were honored with commemorative plaques, marking a memorable start for the Miracle Theatre’s new season.
