Bulgarian Intelligence Service DANS seeks Turkish-speaking agents
The State Agency for National Security (DANS), Bulgaria’s domestic intelligence and counterintelligence service, has announced a new recruitment drive, placing particular emphasis on candidates proficient in Turkish, Persian, and Arabic.
According to the job posting published on popular employment websites, DANS is hiring intelligence officers for both its headquarters in Sofia and its branch office in Yambol. The Sofia center specifically seeks six agents fluent in Russian, Turkish, Arabic, and Persian. For the Yambol post, no foreign language requirement has been listed, though the role will focus on economic security.
Dual Citizens Excluded from Applications
The recruitment notice underlines that applicants must hold only Bulgarian citizenship. Individuals with dual nationality are ineligible, with a particular exclusion of those who emigrated from Turkey during periods of compulsory migration.
