The death toll reaches 11 in the landslide on Ischia Island

In the news of the Italian ANSA agency, it was stated that the bodies of 3 more of the 4 missing people were found during the search and rescue operations carried out in the town of Casamicciola, where the landslide occurred on the island. Thus, the number of people who lost their lives since the disaster on Saturday rose to 11.

The search for a missing person continues.

Naples Governor Claudio Palomba, to whom the island is administratively bound, said that if there is a "yellow" or "orange" warning about the weather conditions again, they will have to evacuate at least a thousand people from Ischia until the alarm level drops.

Apart from the loss of life as a result of the landslide that occurred after heavy rains in Ischia on November 26, material damage was caused by the fact that some houses were buried under the ground and many cars were dragged into the sea. The government had allocated 2 million euros for the disaster.

The natural disaster that caused the loss of life brought the problem of illegal construction on the island back to the agenda.
