Young servant of Xanthi Turkish Union passes away

Ali Salihoğlu, who has been a manager in the Xanthi Turkish Union for many years, served in the Friendship Equality Peace Party, and has always been at the forefront of the minority struggle, passed away today (Sunday, 29 January) at the Alexandroupoli Hospital, where he was treated at the age of 33 after succumbing to the relentless disease he caught.
Due to the death of Ali Salihoğlu, Western Thrace Turkish Minority institutions and minority administrators as well as many Western Thrace Turks shared their condolences on social media.
In the statement made by the Xanthi Turkish Union, where Ali Salihoğlu served at almost all levels, it was noted that his funeral will be buried in Inhanlı village of Xanthi, following the afternoon prayer tomorrow, January 30, Monday.
Ali Salihoğlu, with his calm personality, always ready for every task and sense of duty, was a popular personality who took part in the struggle for rights of Western Thrace Turks despite his young age. Young Ali, who devoted his life to the Turkish Minority Struggle in Western Thrace, passed away on January 29, the day of national resistance, on a day that became synonymous with his life.
