Young Legal Minds of Western Thrace visit Strasbourg for educational study tour

Direct Engagement with European Legal Institutions
Organized with guidance from Vis Juris Law Firm, the trip enabled the young legal scholars to observe a Grand Chamber hearing at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), offering them first-hand insight into international judicial proceedings.
The delegation also met with officials from Turkey’s Permanent Representation to the Council of Europe, gaining a clearer understanding of the Council’s structure and functions.
Visit to the European Parliament
Another key part of the itinerary was a visit to the European Parliament. The participants explored Strasbourg’s political and legal landmarks while also taking time to experience the city’s historical and cultural heritage.
A Memorable Experience for Future Lawyers
In a social media post shared by the GAT Law Group, participants expressed gratitude to everyone who made the trip possible, especially attorney İlker Çavuşoğlu of Vis Juris, who provided consistent support throughout the journey.
“This experience has been filled with unforgettable memories that will serve as a model for our professional development and broaden our horizons as future lawyers,” the statement read.
Boosting Legal Vision and International Awareness
Such initiatives are seen as essential for increasing Western Thrace’s Turkish youth’s engagement with international legal platforms and expanding their professional vision on a global scale.
