After years of inaction, Yassıköy Municipality has launched a significant initiative to clean canals in order to protect residential areas from flooding during the winter rains.

The efforts focus on clearing debris and residues carried into riverbeds and water channels by heavy rainfall.
The cleaning operations have commenced in Yassıköy and will extend to all villages under the municipality's jurisdiction.
