Yassıköy Municipality holds 2025 Children’s Festival with great enthusiasm
The "2025 Children’s Festival," organized by Yassıköy Municipality on Sunday, April 27, 2025, created colorful scenes as children from various regions gathered for the event.
The festival took place at the football field in Bekirli village and drew a large crowd between 12:00 and 20:00. Entrance was free, allowing children from different villages to meet, interact, and enjoy a day full of activities. The lively atmosphere delighted both the young participants and their families, who shared in the joy of the occasion.
DISTINGUISHED GUESTS ATTEND
The event was attended by Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam, Deputy Mayors Sunay Hüseyin, Kubilay Manko, and Sibel Hacı Ali, as well as Municipal Advisors Erkan Kınç and Ercan Mümin, and Bekirli Village Head Remzi Arif. Adding to the festivity, Turkey's Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, and his wife Ilayda Ünal, Rodopi MP Özgür Ferhat, and Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin also joined the celebrations.
MAYOR'S REMARKS
Speaking about the event, Mayor Caner Imam emphasized the administration's commitment to improving residents’ daily lives, addressing economic challenges, and promoting regional development. He noted that children, seen as the guarantors of the future, are placed at the center of these efforts. “By bringing our children together to form friendships and create joyful memories, we aimed to strengthen community bonds,” he said. The mayor expressed his happiness at the event’s success and extended heartfelt thanks to the children, their families, and all supporting guests. He concluded by reaffirming Yassıköy Municipality’s dedication to providing top-quality services to the public.
