Xanthi Turkish Union Sewing and Embroidery Group Participates in Cultural Tour to Konya
A group of instructors and students from the Sewing, Embroidery, and Handicrafts Courses of the Xanthi Turkish Union (İTB) participated in a cultural tour to Konya, Turkey, from November 28 to December 1, 2024.
Led by İTB General Secretary Zeynur Bargan and Women’s Committee Chairperson and course instructor Sevgi Sezai, the 50-member team visited key cultural and educational centers in Konya.
The group’s itinerary included:
November 28: Visits to Anatolya Wooden Toy Workshop, Hacı Sadık Textile Workshop, and KOMEK Exhibition and Sales Center.
November 29: A stop at ASEM Mümine Hatun Workshop to observe leather bag crafting, followed by a meeting with Konya Municipality Secretary General Ercan Uslu, where a handcrafted gift from İTB courses was presented.
November 30: Tours of Darül-Mülk Exhibition Palace, Independence War Martyrs Memorial, Mevlana Museum, Panorama Konya Museum, and other historical landmarks.
İTB expressed gratitude to Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa and his wife Nadire Ömer Trampa for their support in organizing the tour.
The group returned to Xanthi on December 1, inspired by the cultural and educational exchanges experienced during the trip.
