Xanthi Turkish Union in Ankara
The Xanthi Turkish Union team first visited the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities on Friday, 16 February and held a meeting with President Abdullah Eren. President Eren hosted his fellow citizens from Western Thrace at Dr Sadık Ahmet Hall.
İTB Executives then visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye and met with the Director General, Ambassador Burak Özügergin.
On Friday 16 February, the first day of the visit, Xanthi Turkish Union visited Ankara Maturation Institute.
The following statement was made on the social media account of Xanthi Turkish Union regarding the visits
"As Xanthi Turkish Union, we started our visits within the framework of our cultural trip to Ankara with our team of 95 people. We visited the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). We met with our fellow countryman Mr Abdullah Eren, President of YTB and visited the exhibition on "Balkans" in Dr. Sadık Ahmet Hall.
On the first day of our visit, we visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and met with the Director General, Ambassador Mr Burak Özügergin.
We visited Ankara Maturation Institute, which has been working in the field of handicrafts and traditional arts for many years. Our team had the opportunity to see the activities carried out by the Institute closely. We received information about the activities carried out by the Director of the Maturation Institute, Mrs Ahsen Hıdıroğlu and the institute officials. We would like to thank the close attention and hospitality shown to our team."
