The Xanthi Turkish Union delegation paid a visit to Athens regarding the legal struggle of the Xanthi Turkish Union.
The delegation consisting of ITB President Ozan Ahmetoğlu, lawyer İlker Çavuşoğlu, human rights experts Pervin Hayrullah and Kerem Abdurahimoğlu held some meetings in Athens on Monday, 29 November 2021.
The delegation held talks with the Athens embassies of some Council of Europe member countries regarding the 38-year-long legal struggle of the Xanthi Turkish Union and the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which has not been implemented by Greece for 13 years.
In Athens, the members of the delegation also met with Panayotis Dimitras, the Greek Director of the International Helsinki Human Rights Watch Committee and the Member of the Board of the European Implementation Network, and evaluated the latest developments regarding the ITB's struggle for rights.
