Xanthi Mufti Office launches campaign to clothe orphans
The Muftiate institution, which is of great importance for the Turks of Western Thrace, endeavours to respond to the needs of the kinsmen with activities in all areas of religious and social life.
In this framework, the Muftiate of Xanthi also attaches great importance to charity activities. The Family Services Branch Directorate of the Muftiate of Xanthi, which is active in order to make orphans happy due to the month of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid, identifies the needy and orphan children in cooperation with the religious officials and the boards of trustees in the villages and neighbourhoods.
Taking the first step in this framework, the Mufti's Office of Xanthi launched a campaign on the occasion of the upcoming Eid. Within the framework of the campaign, orphaned children in need identified throughout Xanthi will be bought Eid clothes or sent to the agreed clothing stores to buy the Eid clothes they like.
The Mufti's Office of Xanthi also endeavours to provide some financial contribution for the needy compatriots and students in the region by opening exhibitions in all mosques in the middle of Ramadan.
