Xanthi  elected Mufti Ahmet Mete passed away this morning (Thursday, 14 July) at around 07:15.

It was stated that the elected Mufti of Xanthi, Ahmet Mete, fell ill in his home in the early hours of the morning and passed away after a while.

Xanthi Mufti Ahmet Mete had been receiving cancer treatment for a while.

Xanthi Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu announced on his social media account that the funeral of Xanthi Mufti Ahmet Mete, who passed away early this morning, will be held in Xanthi (Aşağı Mahalle) Cemetery after the afternoon (asr) prayer on Friday, July 15.
