Women from Western Thrace meet at the event at the Consulate General
The event organised today at the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini on the occasion of International Women's Day on 8 March was attended by women from all regions of Western Thrace.
The event organised in the garden of the Consulate General in Komotini was hosted by Consul General Aykut Ünal and his wife İlayda Ünal.
Consul General Aykut Ünal, who made a short speech at the event, congratulated all women on Women's Day and left the floor to his wife İlayda Ünal to make the opening speech.
İlayda Ünal said that the Turkish women of Western Thrace are a source of inspiration with the struggle they put up and that she has always been and will continue to be on the side of the Turkish women of Western Thrace.
In her speech, Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform, thanked İlayda Ünal for her invitation and congratulated all women's day.
The event continued with the treats offered to the guests. All women attending the event were given carnations.
