Western Thrace Youth participate in the International Piano Festival in Ankara
Three young pianists from Western Thrace participated in the "88th Day from Black to White: Sincan International Piano Festival" held in Ankara. Hosted by Itri Fine Arts High School, the festival welcomed students from various countries, including those from Western Thrace.
On the invitation of Itri Fine Arts High School's piano teacher, Aysun Yiğit Yaşar, Yağmur Nizam from the Gümülcine Music School, Demirkan Baltacı from the İskeçe Minority Middle and High School, and Panayotis Petropulos from the İskeçe Music School were invited to attend the three-day international piano festival in Ankara. The event saw the participation of 47 students from different countries.
The Western Thrace students were highly praised for their performances, receiving positive feedback from the participants. Throughout the festival, young pianists had the opportunity to connect with peers from various regions. At the end of the festival, all participating students were awarded plaques in recognition of their performances.
