Western Thrace Turks met at iftar dinner in Dinkler
Thousands of people from Türkiye and Western Thrace attended the iftar organised by the Mufti's Office of Xanthi.
The guests attending the iftar in Dinkler (Filia) village of the Municipality of Bulustra (Avdira) were welcomed by children and young people in the courtyard of the village mosque. The self-sacrificing work of Dinkler youth in the organisation of the iftar was appreciated.
HAFIZ ALPCAN ÇELİK
The iftar programme started with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Hafiz Alpcan Çelik, the winner of the World Qur'an Recitation Competition and Imam Hatibi of Istanbul Beşiktaş Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque.
Afterwards, Hüseyin Özpınar, Imam Hatibi of Edirne Selimiye Mosque, and Veli Öztürk, Imam Hatibi of Edirne Old Mosque, called the evening adhan.
THE GOVERNOR OF EDİRNE
In his greeting speeches, Governor of Edirne Yunus Sezer stated that he brought the greetings of the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Hakan Fidan.
Stating that Ramadan creates an atmosphere of love and affection, Sezer continued his words as follows: "Yunus Emre says: "Let's get acquainted. Let's make the work easy. Let us love and be loved. The world will remain for no one."
We endeavour to bring all our brothers and sisters together in this great atmosphere of Ramadan. I would like to express my gratitude to Dinkler village and its young people for their efforts. I wish you all a good Eid in advance."
Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini Aykut Ünal started his speech by thanking all the guests from Türkiye who attended the iftar programme and stated that Ramadan is the month of goodness and love. Stating that the mufti's offices also make important contributions to this unity and solidarity, Consul General Ünal thanked the young people of Dinkler village who contributed to this organisation. Finally, Ünal thanked the board of trustees of Dinkler village and the people of the village and invited all the cognates to the Eid celebration ceremony to be organised at the Consulate General in Komotini on the first day of Eid.
MUSTAFA TRAMPA MUFTI OF XANTHI
Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, emphasised that the events organised to keep national and spiritual values alive are very valuable. Mufti Trampa stated that they organised many events during Ramadan and that they tried to make the best use of this spiritual atmosphere. Mufti Trampa expressed his thanks to all guests and cognates who attended the iftar invitations.
CONCERT
After the iftar programme, Edirne State Turkish Music and Rumelia Music Ensemble of the General Directorate of Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye gave a concert. Director General of Fine Arts Ömer Faruk Belviranlı also sang hymns in the concert.
The programme ended with the performance of the whirling dervish group consisting of students from Edirne Emel Özgür Subaşı Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Edirne Serhat Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.

After the iftar, Hafiz Alpcan Çelik led the Taraweeh prayer in Dinkler village mosque. The cognates who participated in the Taraweeh prayer performed in the Enderun style expressed their satisfaction with this special night and spiritual atmosphere.
