Western Thrace Turkish youth gather for iftar in Athens
Turkish youth from Western Thrace, currently pursuing their university education in Athens, came together for an iftar program organized at the GAT Athens branch.

The event saw the participation of many students, as well as Türkiye’s Ambassador to Athens, Çağatay Erciyes, and Türkiye’s Consul General in Athens-Piraeus, Işıl Işık Civelik, who joined the students for the iftar, showing their support.
A Gathering of Community and Solidarity
The Turkish Consulate General in Athens-Piraeus shared a message on social media regarding the event, stating:
"Together with our Ambassador, we joined the members of the Young Academics Community (GAT) Athens branch of the Western Thrace Minority Higher Education Association (WTMUGA) for an iftar dinner."
The gathering provided an opportunity for students to connect, share experiences, and strengthen their ties with their community while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan.
