ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu, who published a statement regarding the lawsuit filed by the Rhodope Prosecutor's Office against the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association, said: “The lawsuit filed by the Rhodope Prosecutor for the cancellation of the registration of the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association is unacceptable. As the European Court of Human Rights has clearly stated regarding the reasons for not registering the Rhodope Province Turkish Women's Cultural Association and the Meriç Province Minority Youth Association, which are subject to the Bekir Usta and Others case group, if the members of an association create the impression that they are Turkish citizens or that they are an ethnic Turkish minority in the region, the association's failure to register or In this case, there can be no valid reason for the cancellation of the registration. Because, as stated by our association, Fenerbahce Association has not carried out any work or activity outside of the statute since its establishment, and has acted within the boundaries of the statute as a supporters association. However, we all know that the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association has been a target since the first day it was founded. Even the Honorary President of the Supreme Court of Appeals claimed that this association harmed national interests and threatened public safety, and demanded the annulment of the registration decision. The lawsuit filed to cancel the registration of this association, which is only a supporters' association, is a sign of how strong the attitudes, prejudices and stereotypes towards Western Thrace Turkish society are at every level, including the judiciary.
