Violent clash at İskeçe Pre-Departure Detention Center – Four hospitalized

A serious incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, July 15, at the Pre-Departure Detention Center for Migrants in İskeçe, resulting in four individuals being injured and transferred to the General Hospital of Xanthi for medical treatment.

According to initial reports, the clash broke out between groups of detainees within the facility. Among the injured are one Turkish and three Egyptian nationals.

In addition to the four hospitalized, several others sustained minor injuries and were treated on-site by the facility's medical staff.

The police are currently investigating the causes of the altercation. The situation was brought under control thanks to the swift response of security forces and facility personnel.
