The United States is sending more than 200 soldiers to Alexandroupoli as of Tuesday, February 28.
The US soldiers, who will come to Alexandroupoli airport by air from the USA, are expected to serve for the transport of military equipment to be shipped to Alexandroupoli in the coming weeks.
The number of US troops arriving in Alexandroupoli is expected to gradually reach 400 people. It was stated that military equipment, which will be procured from the US Armed Forces and NATO in general, will be transported to northeastern Europe by rail and trucks.
According to the information received, the first ship carrying military equipment is expected to arrive at Alexandroupolis port next Saturday (March 4).
