In the statement made on the social media account of the Elected Mufti of Gümülcine, the following was stated;
"The Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Selanik (Thessaloniki), Mr. Efe Ceylan, and the Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Gümülcine (Komotini), Mr. Aykut Unal, visited the E.Mufti of Gümülcine (Komotini) İbrahim Şerif in his office on Friday, January 20, 2023. The Consul Generals exchanged views with our Mufti İbrahim Şerif on the current issues." it was said.
