Students from Turkish minority primary schools in İskeçe (Xanthi) and Rodop (Rhodope) have achieved remarkable success in recent chess tournaments, securing top rankings in various categories.

Students from Turkish minority primary schools in İskeçe (Xanthi) and Rodop (Rhodope) have achieved remarkable success in recent chess tournaments, securing top rankings in various categories.

İskeçe Central Turkish Minority Primary School Shines in Chess
🏆 Students from İskeçe Central Turkish Minority Primary School demonstrated outstanding performance at the İskeçe Inter-School Chess Tournament held on March 15 at Filippos Indoor Sports Hall. Under the guidance of teacher Nurgül Durmaz Aydemir, the young chess players claimed one gold medal and two bronze medals:

Hasan Talha Dudo (1st grade) - 🥇 First place (Gold Medal)
Alperen Şargo (1st grade) - 🥉 Third place (Bronze Medal)
Nisanur Dudo (4th grade) - 🥉 Third place (Bronze Medal)
These three students have qualified to represent İskeçe at the next-level tournament in Serres.

Turkish Minority Students Achieve Success in Gümülcine (Komotini) Tournament
🎉 Turkish minority students also excelled at the chess tournament held at Gümülcine’s 8th Primary School, under the training of chess coach Mehmet Gülistan. İdadiye Turkish Minority Primary School students performed exceptionally well, with Kamer Efe winning first place in the 5th-grade category.

🏅 Other notable achievements by İdadiye Primary School students:

Ayşenur Dede (1st grade) - 🥉 Third place & Best Female Player Award
Ata Eray (3rd grade) - 🥉 Third place
Salih Konak (4th grade) - 4th place
İlgen Sadık (5th grade) - 4th place
Firuze Huskoğlu (6th grade) - 🥈 Second place & Best Female Player Award
Additionally, Ferişte İbram, a student from Kozlukebir Turkish Minority Primary School, was awarded Best Female Player in Rodop and secured third place in the 5th-grade category with a 7/5 score, earning a bronze medal.

These achievements highlight the growing success of Turkish minority students in academic and intellectual competitions, demonstrating their talent and determination in chess.
