Turkish minority MPs sworn in at the Greek Parliament

MPs elected to the Greek Parliament on 21 May were sworn in at a ceremony on Sunday 28 May.
Following the elections held on 21 May, the Greek Parliament opened on Sunday, 28 May and a swearing-in ceremony was held for the newly elected MPs. The newly elected 300 MPs took oath and took office.
Turkish Minority MPs Özgür Ferhat, Hüseyin Zeybek, Burhan Baran, and İlhan Ahmet also took the oath by pressing their hands on the Holy Quran.
On the same day, the Speaker of the Parliament was also elected. Konstandinos Tasulas, who was also the Speaker of the Assembly last term, was nominated by the New Democracy Party. In the vote attended by 296 deputies, Tasulas received 270 votes.
