Turkish foreign ministry spokesperson replies with "numbers" to Greek counterpart's "numbers"
Turkish foreign ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç replied with "numbers" to his Greek counterpart Papaioannou's "numbers" on violating the Treaty of Lausanne.

After Turkey's reaction to closing 4 Minority Primary schools in Greece emphasizing that it is a violation of the Treaty of Lausanne, Greece replied with numbers claiming that the true violator of minority rights is Türkiye.

Thereupon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Tanju Bilgiç explained with numbers too the discrimination made by Greece regarding the education of the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace.

Bilgic, in his post on Twitter as "The facts about the Turkish Minority in Western Thrace", in response to his Greek counterpart, explained the discrimination carried out by the Athens administration against the Turkish Minority with figures.

He stated that there is no kindergarten in Western Thrace, schools are not opened when the number of children is less than 9, and that 4 children are sufficient for a Greek minority school in Turkey.

Noting that there are only 2 high schools in Western Thrace, the buildings of educational institutions are inadequate and the textbooks are old. Bilgiç also stated that the number of teachers allocated to 3,000 Greeks in Turkey is the same as the number of teachers that Greece considers to be more than 150 thousand Turks.
