Turkish Consulate in Gümülcine to host Eid al-Fitr reception on Friday
According to an official statement shared on the consulate’s social media accounts, the reception will be held between 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
The consulate extended an open invitation to citizens, ethnic kin, and friends to attend the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of community unity and shared celebration during the holiday.
“We would be delighted to welcome our citizens, compatriots, and friends to our Eid reception at the Consulate General between 10:30 and 11:45 on Friday, March 20, the first day of Eid al-Fitr. We take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday,” the statement read.
The annual gathering is considered an important social event for the Turkish community in Western Thrace, offering an opportunity for in-person greetings and strengthening ties between community members and diplomatic representatives.
