Turkish Business Community meets in Thessaloniki
Following a previous meeting held on January 28, 2025, in Athens, Turkish business leaders convened on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at a consultation meeting organized by the Commercial Attaché Office of the Turkish Ministry of Trade in Thessaloniki.
The event was hosted by Turkish Consul General in Thessaloniki Serkan Gedik and Trade Attaché Dr. Gülcan İren.
The meeting focused on Turkey-Greece trade relations, investment opportunities, and regional cooperation prospects. Attending online, Turkish Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and Trade Counselor Hamid Tatcı from the Turkish Embassy in Athens delivered speeches highlighting the economic outlook of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority and the opportunities and challenges faced by Turkish entrepreneurs throughout Greece.
Discussions also included concrete proposals to strengthen the collaborative capacity of Turkish and Greek business communities and to enhance the institutional representation of businesspeople trading in the region.
The meeting was considered a significant step toward reinforcing the ongoing trade volume between Turkish businesspeople and Greece and fostering sustainable partnerships.
