Traffic accident at Iskeçe Okçular junction: One dead, four injured
Late on Sunday night, December 22, a traffic accident on the Iskeçe-Kavala road near the Okçular junction claimed one life and left four others injured.
According to reports, two vehicles traveling toward Kavala collided under unclear circumstances near the Okçular village junction. Following the collision, one of the vehicles crossed into the opposite lane and struck a third vehicle traveling toward Iskeçe.
The driver of the third vehicle died at the scene, while the drivers of the other two vehicles and the passengers in the Iskeçe-bound vehicle sustained injuries.
Emergency response teams, including traffic police, ambulances, and fire services, were promptly dispatched to the scene. Firefighters had to extricate one trapped driver from the wreckage.
All injured parties were transported to Iskeçe State Hospital for treatment.
The Iskeçe Police Department’s Traffic Division has launched an investigation into the accident to determine the causes and circumstances of the collision.
