TİKA Vice President Çevik visits Xanthi Mufti Office and Turkish Union of Xanthi
Vice President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Mahmut Çevik, paid a series of visits in Xanthi on Wednesday, June 18.
Mr. Çevik's visit began with a stop at the Mufti Office of Xanthi, where he was accompanied by Turkish Consul General in Komotini Aykut Ünal and Deputy Consul Adnan Öztürk. The delegation was welcomed by Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi and President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, along with other officials from the Mufti Office.
According to a statement issued by the Mufti Office, Vice President Çevik and Mufti Trampa held discussions and exchanged views on various topics of mutual interest. Mufti Trampa expressed his gratitude for the visit and welcomed the delegation on behalf of the community.
Following the visit to the Mufti Office, the TİKA delegation proceeded to the Turkish Union of Xanthi (İTB). They were received by İTB President Kerem Abdurahimoğlu and members of the association’s board. Mufti Trampa also accompanied the delegation during this visit.
The meetings emphasized the ongoing cooperation and dialogue between institutions serving the Turkish minority in Western Thrace and Turkish governmental agencies.
