Third session of “first step to marriage” seminars held in İskeçe
The Mufti Office of İskeçe successfully held the third session of its “First Step to Marriage” seminar series under the guidance of Mufti Mustafa Trampa. The program addressed marriage and parenthood through both scientific findings and a religious perspective.
During the seminar, speakers emphasized that becoming a mother or father does not begin only with childbirth, but rather requires conscious preparation and responsibility that start much earlier. Presentations highlighted that parents’ lifestyles, dietary habits, stress levels, and psychological well-being can influence a child’s biological development and character formation through epigenetic mechanisms.
Scientific research findings were shared alongside Islamic teachings. Participants were reminded that, in Islam, future generations are regarded as a trust (amanah), and that parenthood is a major responsibility encompassing not only physical care but also moral and spiritual dimensions.
The program also underlined the importance of halal and tayyib nutrition, spiritual awareness, a mindful lifestyle, prayer, and a strong sense of responsibility in raising healthy, conscious, and morally grounded generations. In this respect, the seminar offered participants a comprehensive perspective that combined scientific knowledge with religious values.
Organizers stated that the “First Step to Marriage” seminars, which have been followed with strong interest by participants, will continue in the coming period with the aim of strengthening the family institution and encouraging a more informed and conscious approach to marriage.
