The last event of this semester of Xanthi Turkish Union Women's Meetings was held in Şahin
The last event of this semester of 'Women's Meetings' organised by ITB Women's Section and ITB courses was held in Şahin village of Xanthi.
The event which took place in Şahin Karaca Ayşe Cultural Centre was attended by Sevil Şerifoğlu, President of ITB, Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of ITB Women's Section, Nadire Ömer, wife of Mustafa Trampa, Mufti of Xanthi, Münevver Ago, wife of Ozan Ahmetoğlu, President of ITB, Ayşe Baran, wife of MP Burhan Baran, Ayşe Delihüseyin, wife of Mayor of Mustafçova Rıdvan Delihüseyin, Nilüfer Hraloğlu, wife of Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, ITB Women's Section members, ITB Sewing and Embroidery Course instructors and students and many women from Şahin attended the event.
The opening speech of the event was made by Fatma Emir, ITB Şahin Course Instructor. In her speech, Fatma Emir thanked everyone who participated in the event and expressed her pleasure to host them.
Then Zeynur Bargan, Spokesperson of the Western Thrace Turkish Women's Platform and President of the Women's Section of the ITB, thanked everyone who participated in the event and expressed her belief that these events organised together with the courses of Xanthi Turkish Union will be very useful for women.
Sevil Şerifoğlu, Vice President of ITB, also gave a speech and gave information about the "Xanthi Turkish Union Women's Meetings" series of events. Sevil Şerifoğlu stated the following: "As Xanthi Turkish Union, in order to keep alive the Turkish culture in Western Thrace as well as to respond to the needs of our women in social areas, we aim to see healthier, happier, more peaceful women, mothers and wives by bringing them together with experts from time to time in line with their wishes, bringing them together with organisations such as meals, picnics and trips. While doing these, we will continue these activities in consultation with other institutions. Today, we would like to thank and congratulate our women who showed us a very warm hospitality in Şahin village".
The guest of the event in Şahin was Nutritionist and Dietician Sevgi Giretli. In her speech on "Healthy nutrition and healthy meal preparation", Sevgi Giretli emphasised the importance of healthy nutrition and stated that it is very important to eat timely and balanced meals. Finally, she answered the questions on the subject.
At the end of the event, the food prepared by the students of Şahin Course was served to the participants.
Afterwards, the guests visited the Xanthi Turkish Union Şahin Sewing and Handicrafts Course and visited the exhibition prepared by the students.
