One of the party leaders, Yannis Protoulis, attended the event held in Komotini and gave a speech. Pointing out that the region is the poorest region in Greece, Protulis stated that this is due to the wrong policies and practices of the ruling parties.
Addressing the minority members, Protulis said that the minority people should give the necessary answer to the political parties that make the region like this and only remember the minority in the elections. Protulis stated that the KKE party has been the most stable party for years in raising minority issues.
