Terrifying accident in the playground of Alexandroupoli with a 14-year-old girl being seriously injured

A 14-year-old girl had a shocking accident in a playground in Alexandroupoli, resulting in a serious head injury.

The 14-year-old was injured in the well-known game "around everyone", and was taken to the University hospital of Alexandroupoli, covered in blood, in order to undergo immediate surgery. 

According to e-evros.gr, the accident happened on the evening of Tuesday, November 7, around 8:15 p.m., when the 14-year-old girl was playing on the spinner and her hair got caught in the toy's shaft.

The result was to tear off part of the skin above the eyes, up to the top of the head.

The unfortunate incident brought up the security issue of playgrounds in Greece once again. 

It should be noted that a few years ago, a young child died as a result of an accident in a children's playground in Athens.

It is also among the information received that an investigation into the incident in Alexandroupolis (Dedeağaç) has been launched.
