Protest from the Teachers' Association: Denounces "in secret" visit of N. Kerameos to schools in Xanthi

Teachers’ Association reacted, as the Minister of Education chose not to meet with the teachers' unions during her presence in Xanthi

After the recent reaction-protest of Teachers’ Association for the "non-existent", as mentioned, intention of Mrs. Kerameos to meet with the teachers, the Teachers' Association of Xanthi also speaks of a "visit-inspection" of the minister "in secret" in selected kindergartens and primary schools of the Prefecture of Xanthi.

The Teachers' Association, in a relevant announcement, complained: "The Minister of Education continues her favorite regular, communicative character, to visit schools throughout Greece, presenting through made images and set up dialogues a different and as they see image of the operation of schools with of course, its sole purpose is to convince that the "reforms" in the field of education are extremely appreciated within the educational community and society.

The attempted advertising and beautification of the educational policy does not in any way reflect the prevailing situation of the school units that concern the lack of building infrastructures, the non-filling of the gaps and the filling of these units, the absence of the teachers parallel support and integration departments.

Finally, he pointed out that he will continue the fight against any anti-educational policy aiming at a truly public and free school and always according to the modern educational needs of our students.”
