"Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer" programme was held at Şehreküstü Mosque
The first of the "Take Your Child and Come for Morning Prayer" programme, which was re-launched by the S. Mufti's Office of Komotini, was the Şehreküstü Mosque of Komotini.
The first of the re-launched "Take Your Child and Come to Morning Prayer" programme took place on Sunday morning, 5 November 2023 at the Şehreküstü Mosque in Komotini.
Both children and parents attended the programme. The programme started with the congregation performing the morning prayer collectively. Afterwards, the prayers were performed at the time of dawn, and afterwards, the cognates opened their hands and prayed together.
After the prayer led by the religious officer Orhan Bülbül, İbrahim Şerif, Mufti of Komotini, and the cognates made speeches.
The Consul General of Turkey in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, who did not leave the cognates alone in the early hours of the morning, made a speech and greeted the children in the mosque, their parents and other cognates who participated in the morning prayer. Consul General Ünal expressed his pleasure for participating in the programme, shared his thoughts about the programme with the cognates and thanked those who contributed to it.
After the speeches, breakfast was served to the participants in the mosque. Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet and President of the Association of Religious Officers of Western Thrace Mosques Sadık Sadık also attended the programme.
The second stop of the programme next weekend will be Bekirli village of Yassıköy Municipality
